Kenya has left the building
Dear Wednesday,
I'm in Barnes & Noble.
Okay a toddler is screaming and I can't do this. I'll read the newspaper I bought and drink my decaf coffee.
I'm back. Still at B&N -now the baby and parent have left the building.
So back to me... One of my neighbors called this morning and said she needed a ride to go pick up her car. That gave me an excuse to "leave the building" (comfort/confines of home) and do something different.
I've been craving coffee something awful and I stopped drinking it so I have none at home.
So I'm having a decaf coffee and getting my 400 words in.
Geez I thought I was distracted at home. I've thought of a million other things while I sit here to write this. I'm people watching, and dying to get up and go look at the tech magazines.
There's also a book I'd like to purchase for my son to read, one that I'll read at the same time from my Kindle. I just want to price it here. Amazon is actually cheaper, and then his school is having a book fair this week so they might actually have it.
It'll be fun to read a book with him. Maybe that can be our thing. He and his dad have bowling and RC cars. I thought I would have to have a girl to enjoy books with. But I see that's not necessarily the case. It just takes the right books.
Interesting another thing about being out, I feel restless and anxious to get back. I thought coming here would be relaxing.
When I got here I asked for a Grande Decaf. I thought that was self explanatory but it's not. She repeated, "Grande Decaf...?" Like what? And then I said , "Grande decaf coffee of the day." Then she told me that they didn't have any brewed and asked could I wait. Why yes! That's a guaranteed fresh cup. So while it's not the best decaf I've ever had, at least it was fresh and it has satisfied my coffee craving.
I've definitely invested more than 5 minutes into this post today so I am going to wrap it up.
